Please read these terms carefully before renting a bike or booking a tour with Safar Rides. By making a booking, you agree to be bound by them.
Riders must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid Indian driving license (or an equivalent international driving permit) for the class of vehicle rented.
A government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar Card, Passport, or Voter ID) and driving license must be produced at the time of pickup, in line with Indian KYC norms.
A booking is confirmed only after the advance payment and a refundable security deposit are received.
The security deposit is refunded within 7 working days of the bike's return, subject to deductions for damages, unpaid fines, or fuel shortfall.
Riders must comply with the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and applicable state traffic regulations, including mandatory helmet use for rider and pillion.
Any traffic challans, fines, or penalties incurred during the rental or tour period are the rider's sole responsibility and will be deducted from the security deposit or billed separately.
The rider is liable for damage to the vehicle beyond normal wear and tear, and for theft or total loss occurring during the rental period.
Basic third-party insurance is included as mandated by Indian law. Riders are encouraged to opt for additional zero-depreciation cover for high-altitude tours.
Cancellations made 15+ days before the tour/rental start date are eligible for a 90% refund of the advance paid.
Cancellations made 7–14 days before the start date are eligible for a 50% refund; cancellations within 6 days of the start date are non-refundable.
Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days to the original mode of payment.
For interstate tours (e.g. Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir), riders must carry a valid RC, insurance, and PUC certificate, along with any inner-line or protected-area permits required by local authorities. Safar Rides assists with permit paperwork where applicable.
Safar Rides is not liable for delays, cancellations, or itinerary changes caused by landslides, road closures, extreme weather, government restrictions, or other events beyond our reasonable control.
